I attempted a delay-flash circuit to photograph water droplets. The idea is that the thing is triggered by the water droplet as it falls down, then a circuit delays for a while before flashing some bright LEDs. Well, the circuit worked fine (and it was pretty cool to be able to see a freeze frame of the water falling), but it turns out the same effect could be created by setting a short exposure time on my camera and just using the built-in flash. Well, that’s life. I didn’t make a circuit diagram, but if anyone is interested please let me know and I will draw something up. Below is one of the shots I got with the automatic timer rig. The rest of the pictures can be seen here.
