Ahh, see now I’m going to have to join too. I didn’t know they gave out stuffed toys. My dog would love that. Hmm, looks like it has solid eyes though .. might not last a long time (he tears them out). Guess I need to wander over to fsf.org and see how they use their donations.

Ah, yeah, that could be an issue. I suppose I should mention that I got these at their store, they don’t come with the membership :-( .

Yeah, I gathered that from browsing their site. I’m betting the same applies for the stickers, although it appears you passed on Stalman’s book. (It is available for free online.) What I couldn’t find was a clear statement of how they use the membership funds and donations. I suppose http://ftp.gnu.org doesn’t pay for itself .. and somebody has to finance the hazmat suits at Micro$oft conferences.

You probably already found this, but their current campaigns are listed here: http://www.fsf.org/campaigns
Their IRS form 990s can be found by searching for ‘free software foundation’ here: http://dynamodata.fdncenter.org/990s/990search/esearch.php

…I didn’t see any hazmat suits on their deprecated inventory list.

Oh, and I got a signed copy of his book in person :-D
